for Faux Finishing Testimonials
| I first
met Dave Larson in 2001 when he attended classes at my school, "The Decorative
Arts Center" in St. Louis, Missouri. I was immediately impressed by his
talent for the arts, business sense, learning abilities, pleasant and tactful
demeanor, as well as his social skills with his classmates and myself.
Upon completion of his faux & plaster classes, I offered Dave an apprenticeship
in a situation where I would be his painting and faux business consultant
/ mentor, which he eagerly accepted.
Through our daily communications
over the years, I watched as Dave grew into one of the most prolific decorative
artists and entrepreneurs in our field. He not only absorbed all of the
help and information I gave him, but built on that to create his own unique
strategies and techniques for the trade which still met the highest standards.
Teaching is a great responsibility,
honest and willing students deserve the best facility and educational experience
possible. "Just" a good painter doesn't necessarily make the best instructor.
An "articulate" person, who is not an experienced decorative artist, is
of no value to me in a teaching situation either.
Dave Larson has met my standards,
passed down to me by my own european masters, of what a good education
in decorative artistry is about: Instructor, Curriculum, & Classroom.
He is a very knowledgable decorative artist and entrepreneur as well as
a fine person, his class curriculum is solid and practical, and his facility
is one of the finest, bar none.
The association of our schools
is not just a simple "link exchange". Any school that carries the "DAC"
label and my stamp of approval has to meet several strict requirements
in order to instruct students in the trade, I would demand and offer no
less. I assure you that Dave Larson has met and exceeded all of my requirements
in order to bring you one of the best schools in the nation: "The Decorative
Arts Center North".

We can truly say
that Dave's workmanship and projects are "perfection to a T", he's not
the cheapest but he's the best. And definitely the best at finishing off
corners and blending in, we haven't seen any other applications as good
as his! We have no hesitation recommending Dave to others.

We
have had Dave's "Attention to Detail Painting Inc" paint multiple rooms
in our home (Kitchen, living room, master bedroom, master bath, main hallway,
downstairs family room and bath) with multiple faux finishing applications
to include; faux brick walls, color washes, Cheese cloth textures, as well
as solid painted bold, dark colors. Every job Dave Larson's team
completed was done so with the utmost of standards and excellence.
Every paint job was finished off with a very clean look and if it wasn't
for the newly painted walls, you wouldn't even know they had been there.
Their cleanliness almost supersedes their professional quality of work.

We are very pleased with the end
result. Your business name (Attention to Detail Painting) is a descriptive

It
is hard to condense the impact of the faux finishes that Dave has done
in our new stores to a short testimonial. His faux finishing techniques
have defined an entire style category for us. Dave's knowledge and experience
help us to create unique displays that inspire customers to dream about
what they can do in their own homes. We have been working with him for
several years and have always been impressed with the outstanding and professional
service he has always provided. I am always at ease that every last
detail is taken care of.
