Whether accenting an area, making
3d faux blocks, or your own unique fossil stone plaster walls, it all
starts with using the the right materials. Textures are one of the
most versatile and interesting techniques in the "faux" market today.
This class will teach you how
to mix, apply, prime, base, and faux glaze
three dimensional plaster materials.
Learn what to use, why, and how,
from surface preps to basic tools and techniques. We will be using plasters
and other elements to create:
*Fossil Stone
*Rhino-text
*Brushed Plaster
*Faux Stone Walls
*Ancient Wall
*Old Skip Plaster
*T-Rex Red Leather
Texture Faux Finishing
Mixing and applying basic waterbased
faux finishing glazes to faux finish the plaster, you will stain, colorize,
accent, wash, and highlight areas of your textured samples and bring
them to life!
